Meeting Achievements is seeking a current student or recent graduate for the role of Events Intern for the summer of 2025. As the Events Intern, you will assist with marketing functions, material creation, administrative functions and technical support for events that will produce high-quality conference/event experiences, ensuring Customer and Business goals are met. You will also have exposure to vendor coordination, speaker management, venue selection, and industry standard event systems.

Events Intern Job Description
Achieving Event Excellence to Meet Customer & Business Goals
1. Provides meticulous event planning support on tactical and administrative elements for events, completing elements completely, on-time, and error free.
2. Collaborates with Event Managers and Assistant Event Planners to provide assistance, as needed, to ensure project deliverables are being met
3. Plans and builds event registration systems; and maintains and edits event websites to support the planning and execution of the event.
4. Assist with the marketing elements for events, including the development and distribution of event materials, venue signage, and attendee packs, collaborating with client to promote and publicize event to maximum attendance, materials should be accurate and on-time.
5. Manages all aspects of attendee management including CME data system processes, attendee engagement, attendance tracking, facilitating attendee communication, and answering attendee requests to ensure seamless experience for event attendees.
6. Partners with Event Managers to build virtual platforms and load event content for virtual/hybrid conferences, as needed to meet customer and event goals.
7. Attends events and assists with managing the production of the event ensuring the event runs smoothly and accordingly.
8. Coordinates the details of the event to ensure compliance with ACCME guidelines.
9. Assists with troubleshooting any emerging problems on the event day ensuring customer satisfaction.
10. Assists in creating “Run of Show” for events to keep all associated parties on schedule.
11. Assesses post-event data and assists with the creation of reports for clients.
12. Propose ideas to improve processes, services, and event quality to continually enhance customer satisfaction and business goals.
13. Assists with market research, gathering information, and delivering findings to Event Managers on projects as needed
14. Participate in one Meeting Achievements company committee or taskforce for duration of internship – contributing ideas and opportunities for improvement relevant to the committee topic.
Position Requirements
A. Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management or relevant field; or recent graduate.
B. Functional Skills: High attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work on-time and accurately. Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects independently.
C. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid expertise in Microsoft Office products and Zoom.
D. Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with strong ability present ideas and train others.
E. Travel: This role will be required to go onsite for at minimum of 1 event over the course of internship. Reliable transportation is necessary.
Job Type: Part-time (average of 25 hours per week, designed to satisfy internships requiring 300+ hours for credit)
Pay: $17/hour
Timeline: This internship is scheduled to begin May 12, 2025 through August 22, 2025. These dates are flexible.
